New Heights of Dependence and Sophistication!

Hey readers, remember me telling you about my meet with an ex-colleague and friend from Zacks? Well, upon our conversation, we also touched upon Hrithik Roshan's dialogue 'Man made computers not vice versa' (please bear with my liberal translation) in Koi Mil Gaya. That got me thinking on how in our daily lives, we are all so dependent on the computers and the laptops, not to mention the fact that we got most of our vital info stored on our mobile phones. Our idea of social networking is hanging out on Facebook, Orkut, LinkedIn or Twitter!

I shudder to think of the dire consequences if I ever were to lose my mobile, laptop or both of these items! Heck, I don't even have a backup of all the contacts' telephone numbers. Gone are the days when I could recall even an old acquaintance's number verbatim - these days I only bother with a cursory glance at the number and store it away!

In this age of high-sophistication, I was amused to see that interior designing has evolved to include even music - homes these days are increasingly seeing or rather hearing music in tune with the design/symmetry of their homes! Ahhhhh - but more on this later! Time to get back to work!

11:40 PM: Well, I found the article on Audio Architecture in the print edition of Livemint long back but I just couldn't locate the article on the paper's website or the concerned section. After a long search I can only conclude that probably the article is not there because it's copyrighted to New York Times..
